Lessons are focused on...

Developing the whole musician, starting with basic fundamentals.

We work on:
  • Bow control
  • Left hand articulation
  • Quality of tone production
  • Ear training
  • Music reading skills
  • Performance aspects
  • Musicianship
  • Proper body alignment to avoid injury while playing
  • Flexibility in the joints to foster freedom of movement and expression

Sharon develops lessons around the student's interests.  She sees where they are and takes them to where they want to go.  Each lesson is personalized to the student's learning interests.  Lessons are not "cookie-cutter" and every student grows on their own journey and path to discovering music and what it means to them.  Sharon teaches every student strong foundation skills which helps her students to continue developing their understanding of music at a faster rate.
