  • Make sure 3rd finger is on the 3rd finger tape
  • Make sure 2nd finger is on the 2nd finger tape
  • Make sure 1st finger is on the 1st finger tape
  • Keep hand in a good Umbrella Hold shape throughout
  • Don't let wrist or hand touch the violin shoulder/body
  • Reach hand out towards the scroll along the violin neck, don't let it scrunch in toward the violin body

Review

a. In Rest Position with thumb pluck
b. In Playing Position with plucking hand (keep the 'C' - make sure thumb and finger are bent, reach over the fingerboard to pluck, keep hand in plucking hand shape, and keep knuckles/hand off the violin, don't rest the hand on the violin body)
c. (NEW) - Left hand pinky pluck - touch pinky to the string, and pull with the pinky
